DEFINITION

This qualified generic field specifies:

FIOP	First Opening Balance	The opening balance of the financial instrument in the statement (may consist of several pages).
INOP	Intermediary Opening Balance	Opening balance of this page only. Must be the intermediary closing balance of the previous page (part of the same statement).
FICL	Final Closing Balance	Sum of the opening balance and all entries booked to the account at the close of the statement period.
FICL	Final Closing Balance	The closing balance of the financial instrument in the statement (may consist of several pages).
INCL	Intermediary Closing Balance	Closing balance of this page only. Must be the intermediary opening balance of the next page (part of the same statement).

CODES

If Data Source Scheme is not present, Quantity Type Code must contain one of the following codes (Error code(s): K93):

AMOR	Amortised Value	Quantity represents the current amortised face amount of a bond, eg, a periodic reduction of a bond's principal amount.
FAMT	Face Amount	Quantity expressed as the face amount of the principal of a debt instrument.
UNIT	Unit	Quantity is expressed as a number, eg, a number of shares.

NETWORK VALIDATED RULES

The integer part of Balance must contain at least one digit. The decimal comma is mandatory and is included in the maximum length (Error code(s): T40, T43).

When Sign is present, Balance must not be zero (Error code(s): T14).

USAGE RULES

Sign must be present when Balance is negative.
