DEFINITION

This qualified generic field specifies:

REAS	Reason Narrative	Further information on the reason in narrative form.
PACO	Party Contact Narrative	Provides additional information regarding the party, eg, the contact unit or person responsible for the transaction identified in the message.

USAGE RULES

The use of the field :70D::REAS will inhibit STP and is therefore not recommended except when field:24B::REJT in this sequence is NARR.

Unless bilaterally agreed between the Sender and the Receiver, narrative field 70a must not contain information that can be provided in a structured field.
