This field identifies the event being confirmed.

CODES

Type must contain one of the following codes (Error code(s): T93):

PTRC	The message confirms both the partial termination and recouponing of the transaction. New fixed rates are confirmed and the notional amount is reduced and the payment of a fee may be applicable.
PTRM	The message confirms a partial termination.The notional amount is reduced and the payment of a fee may be applicable.
RCPN	The message confirms the recouponing of the transaction. New fixed rates are confirmed and the payment of a fee may be applicable.
TERM	The message confirms the termination of the transaction. All outstanding obligations are discharged and may result in the payment of a termination fee.
