This message is sent by the fund manager to the custodian just before value date, to inform which deals done on behalf of a third party are to be settled gross and which ones netted.
The definition of third party must be agreed up front between the fund manager and the custodian relative to deals executed by the custodians' treasury area on behalf of the fund manager.
It is also used to cancel a previously sent message.
